Naomi worked diligently to get this truck all put together. It was a kit given to her by our friends the Hatala Family. She loved screwing the parts together and painting it too (picture to follow)! When asked if she wanted to take a break, after an hour, she said, "No, I want to make my truck." Wonderful stick-to-it-iveness like her daddy! Ava also worked on "projects" of painting, playdoh and playing.
This year for our church's Family Camp we actually "roughed it" in a tent. When asked what her favorite part was, Naomi's reply was, "sleeping." Saturday also happened to be free fishing day for kids at the hatchery so Naomi, Steve, the Rowe Family and Steve Ballard went for an adventure. Each of the kids caught their limit (2) but the fish were "too wiggly" for Naomi's liking. We also went down to Lake Siskiyou beach each day with the Smiths and played and swam and played and swam. It was fun and exhausting!
Ava had a wonderful time swimming, playing and eating with her friends on her second birthday! First thing in the morning she asked me if she could have a cupcake, because all Saturday I had told her she had to wait till her birthday. Once she finally got to chomp down on one she was happy (as you can see), especially with the frosting! You can also check out the videos of her special day on You Tube.
