Naomi called the dunes the "big sand box" and had lots of fun playing in them!
Worn out after a day of fun!
The kids didn't seem to notice that it was FREEZING. I had to put my socks and shoes back on after discovering the sand was cold! They played away and made a great sand castle.
4 Wheelin' Family! Is Lyle too cheap to get brakes?! :-)
We didn't let the rain get us down while on the beautiful Oregon coast... in fact one day it was so nice the kids went swimming in Cleawox Lake. It's part of the Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park. The park had lots of walking trails, a lake, huckleberries for picking and a huge playground... great for families! We also went on some great excursions to the beach, tidepools, and we saw 2 lighthouses, Heceta Head and Yaquina Head.
Naomi worked diligently to get this truck all put together. It was a kit given to her by our friends the Hatala Family. She loved screwing the parts together and painting it too (picture to follow)! When asked if she wanted to take a break, after an hour, she said, "No, I want to make my truck." Wonderful stick-to-it-iveness like her daddy! Ava also worked on "projects" of painting, playdoh and playing.
