Memorial Day Weekend

While we didn't specifically celebrate Memorial Day we did spend it with our favorite veteran a.k.a. Grandpa Watson.
Sunday we went to Uncle Lyle, Aunt Stephanie, Leah & Josh's house for a sleep over. Naomi slept really well for her first time in the 'pack & play.' She had a great time watching & playing with her big cousins! Then on Monday Grandpa and Grandma Watson came up. Basketball was the highlight of the day. It was the young vs. the old with Steve, Leah & Josh vs Grandpa & Lyle. The rest of us had a great time watching them play, especially Naomi. She loves the action! She was so tired she went to bed at 6:30 PM and didn't wake up till 7 the next morning.

7 Months

Nap Time Posted by Hello

People say the first year goes by quickly and that is definetly true for us! I can't believe she's 7 months old already. Life with an infant changes week to week and even day to day sometimes. One of the hardest things for me to get used to is longer naps. Instead of taking 4-6 45 minute naps she sleeps for 1.5 hours in the morning and 2-3 in the afternoon. That seems like such a toddler thing to do!

Me & My Nana

Nana & Papa Tex are here to play with Naomi for a few days. They went for a walk around the neighborhood and had a great time yesterday.

Nana got as far as painting one little toenail bright pink before church this morning, but she was interrupted by stinky pants. Thankfully she rescued Naomi from that smell. All this before Steve and I were even out of bed!Later, I got Naomi ready for church. As you can see in this picture, she was cutsied up in a designer dress from Chile, courtesy of Uncle Doug & Aunt Jill. Boy, it's fun having a girl! Posted by Hello

And the winner is...

Garden veggies! As you can see by the smile they were a smashing (ha) hit. Naomi had them behind her ears, up her nose, and some even made it to her mouth. Posted by Hello

Chillin in the backyard

Naomi enjoyed hanging out in the backyard yesterday. This was her first time in the hammock, but she loves the swings at church. She loves being outside. She can just sit and watch the leaves blow in the wind.

FYI If you click on a picture you can see it bigger. Enjoy!

Latest Developments

Now I'm up to date on pictures, so here's the skinny on latest development. After waiting 2 months Naomi's top front teeth are finally making an appearance. The left one broke through Saturday and the right one today. Now they have to move down because you can only feel them, OUCH, not see them. As soon as they are visible I'll be attempting to get a picture of them.

A note from Naomi

Why Blog?

Keeping family up to date on the ever changing, always fascinating life of an infant is a tricky thing. Do you want to know that she woke up at 2 AM & 4:45 AM? Do you care that she loves green beans? I can't call each of you when she cuts a tooth or does something clever so I've decided to try blogging. Then you can decide how much you want to know.

The added bonus is a journal that I can use as a resource for Naomi's baby book. Aren't you scrapbookers proud?!
